Michelle Pfeiffer has received some of the best reviews of her career for her work in “Hairspray.” The still-beautiful blonde has been a star for more than 20 years and she apparently has no plans of slowing down. This Sunday, Pfeiffer sits down with James Lipton to go over old territory: her exciting, successful career, which includes box-office successes like “Married to the Mob” and “Batman Returns” as well as critical hits like “Dangerous Liaisons” and “The Age of Innocence.”

The Yankees go west and their ranking suffers. New York is on the brink after Son of Sam strikes again and a terrorist groups sets off several bombs in the city. With the Yankees in a nosedive and Billy Martin (John Turturro) surely facing George Steinbrenner’s (Oliver Platt), Martin finally acquiesces and bats Reggie (Daniel Sunjata) clean-up. On the same day the Omega Task Force apprehends David Berkowitz, the Son of Sam. With Reggie occupying his rightful place in the batting order the Yankees go on a tear and with Son of Sam behind bars, the fortunes of New York change for the better as well.

Johnny Cash achieved a new level of stardom when his eponymous variety show aired on ABC from 1969 to 1971. The singer and songwriter took advantage of the exposure to bring on his musical peers, who were all at their peak at the time. Bob Dylan sings “I Threw It All Away.” Ray Charles sings the Cash classic “Ring of Fire.” Cash also does a duet with Joni Mitchell on “Long Black Veil” and teams up with Carl Perkins and Eric Clapton on “Long Way to Go.” Roy Orbison, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Jerry Lee Lewis also appear

Eric (Kevin Connolly) gets an office on a seedy stretch of Hollywood Boulevard. His buddies want to christen the new joint with the perfect gift and settle on an antique desk with a rich Hollywood history. Unfortunately, it’s already been sold to an actor with whom Vince, Drama and Turtle all have a colorful past. Meanwhile, Ari preps for his annual meeting with a ballbusting rhythm and blues diva. “No More Drama” singer Mary J. Blige guest-stars.

The inexhaustible “Real World” travels to a new destination: Sydney, Australia, for season 19. Seven Americans travel up to 20 hours to get involved in manufactured personal conflicts, seething jealousies, love triangles and other silly dramas that made this series the granddaddy of ensemble reality dramas. Some real problems do arise, however: One cast member is given an ultimatum by their significant other back home: choose me or Sydney. The cast also goes to work on this edition, for Contiki Holidays, the world leader in vacations for 18 to 35 year olds.

The 1990 murder of New York City nightclub bouncer Marcus Peterson resulted in the conviction of one David Lemus. Lemus served 15 years in prison before having his conviction overturned in 2005. Lemus is currently being retried by the Manhattan D.A.’s office and Dateline is doing a documentary about the crime. The producers interview Daniel Bibb, the A.D.A on the case, Bobby Addolorato and John Schwartz, the detectives who originally found evidence that helped free Lemus.
