IF “CSI” can have spin-offs, why not “Dora the Explorer”?
TV’s top-rated kids’ show is giving Dora’s adventurous cousin, Diego, his own series in September.
Here’s a first look at what “Go, Diego, Go!” will look like.
The series is set in Latin America with all the Spanish-English, bilingual gimmickry that has characterized the Dora show.
In the new series, Diego – who was introduced on “Dora” two years ago – runs an animal-rescue center in the rainforest.
Each episode, he’s called on to find and save an animal in trouble.
“Dora” – about a little Latina girl and her monkey who live in a computer – has been a smash for Nickelodeon. The series has grossed nearly $1 billion in ad, home video and merchandise sales since its debut in 2000.
