Eddie Murphy is bringing “Beverly Hills Cop” to TV.

Murphy, who starred in three movies as wisecracking Axel Foley — a Detroit cop transplanted to LA — is teaming with “The Shield” creator Shawn Ryan for a “Beverly Hills Cop” series, according to reports.

Murphy will produce the series and will appear on-screen.

“What I’m trying to do with ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ now is produce a TV show starring Axel Foley’s son, and Axel is the chief of police now in Detroit,” Murphy, 51, told Rolling Stone.

“I’d do the pilot, show up here and there.”
