NBC decided last night to extend Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ series, “Watching Ellie” by two additional episodes – April 9 and April 16.

It was to have aired next week for the last time this season, but a modest improvement in viewership this past Tuesday evening to 9.7 million viewers has won it a reprieve.

“We’re really happy with where it is,” NBC Entertainment President Jeff Zucker said last night. “If it settles in at this level, it’s golden for us.”
