NEVER mind that an auction of Elvis’ first guitar received no bids.

Now there’s an even more personal item up for sale – his hair.

The locks that make up the baseball-size clump of hair was collected by Elvis’ hairstylist, Homer “Gill” Gilleland.

“We believe it is the finest and best documented samples of Elvis Presley hair clippings ever publicly offered,” says Mastronet Inc. CEO William Mastro, whose firm is auctioning the hair.

The online sale (ar http://www.mastronet.com) starts Monday and ends Nov. 15.

The minimum bid: $10,000.
