BELOVED pro-wrestler turned best-selling author Mick Foley is thisclose to landing his own CBS action pilot.

Foley, who also wrestled under the names Mankind and Cactus Jack, would play a Tampa detective who’s just as ruthless as the criminals he hunts, according to Daily Variety.

Since his retirement from the ring, Foley has successfully authored three books, two memoirs and a new novel. His autobiography “Have a Nice Day” spent more than 26 weeks on top of the best-seller list in 2000.

Foley is currently working on another novel and a children’s book. He returned to the WWE on Monday night’s live edition of “Raw” as a consultant and the organization’s co-general manager.

The 6-foot-4-inch, 287-pound wrestler called it quits and stopped wrestling shortly before the book was published, but he remains a fan favorite due his affable personality and the sheer physical punishment he endured over the course of his wrestling career.

In a career that spanned more than 15 years, he suffered severe burns, numerous broken bones (including his jaw, nose, cheekbone, shoulder) torn muscles, lost teeth and ripped off part of his ear.

He retired to spend more time with his family.
