CONNIE Chung’s new show was really alarming Wednesday night.

A loud fire alarm – allegedly triggered by a child visiting the restaurant in the same midtown Manhattan building where her live show is broadcasts- interrupted the newscast several times.

“Oh, my goodness! That’s a fire alarm,” Chung said when the first alarm rang while she was interviewing a Sports Illustrated reporter about the NBA’s top draft pick, China’s Yao Ming.

“Does anyone see a fire here?” she asked “No. All right. We’ll be right back.”

The show took a commercial break, but moments after returning to the air, it happened again.

Again the show broke for a commercial but a few minutes after she returned, “Uh-oh, there it goes again.”

This time the alarm included the building’s fire safety director, whose voice was broadcast over the internal P.A. system inChung’s studio and on to the air.
