FILM IN ITS GLORY
FILMGOERS swapped grisly for glory over the weekend as the college basketball drama “Glory Road” scored as the nation’s top flick – easily unseating the gruesome horror movie “Hostel.”
“Glory Road,” which recounts the true story of a Texas team that broke the color barrier in the ’60s when it went to the NCAA championship with an all-black starting lineup, earned $13.5 million from Friday through Sunday. It was followed by another newcomer, the feel-good “Last Holiday.”
