FILM PICK
HEAVEN CAN WAIT: Even God needs a vacation, as we learn in the comedy “God Is Brazilian,” directed by Carlos Die gues. It’s one of 11 new flicks – fiction and documentaries – from Brazil to be showcased Wednesday through June 29 at Film Forum. Programmed by the Museum of Modern Art (its refurbished Midtown home opens Nov. 20), the festi val includes one-week runs of two films: Joel Zito Araujo’s “Daughters of the Wind,” a twist on Brazil’s most popular medium, the soap opera; and Roberto Berliner’s “Born to Be Blind,” a documentary about three sightless sisters who eke out a living singing in the streets. The Forum is on Houston Street, west of Sixth Avenue; http://www.filmforum.com.
