They call them “Broadway babies” – kids from small towns who come to the big city with stars in their eyes and tap shoes on their feet.

Catch them in action today at Lincoln Center, where Reel to Real’s “Broadway Babies” unspools at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Sandwiched between clips from old Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly and Busby Berkeley movies will be a few young dancers from Manhattan’s Steps on Broadway, a school for those with showbiz dreams.

They’ll be kicking up their heels under the lead of Randy Skinner, who helped choreograph Broadway’s “42nd Street.”

Not only will he lead a dance workshop for the kids on stage – but he’ll be asking kids from the audience to join them in a swingin’ finale.

Tickets are $8.50 for kids, $16.50 for adults at Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater, 165 W. 65th St., between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue. For more info, call (212) 875-5600.
