Fox News set a record for most watched election coverage in cable news history on Tuesday night, topping all other cable channels and networks.

The channel’s primetime coverage averaged 13.7 million in total viewers, besting second-place CNN and MSNBC, Deadline reported.

CNN averaged 9.1 million viewers in primetime, while MSNBC trailed with 7.3 million, according to the report.

All of the cable channels beat out the networks, according to the figures. ABC topped the network field with 6.1 million viewers, and NBC finished second with 5.6 million, Deadline reported.

As the outlet noted, the numbers show cable news’ dominance on television compared to four years ago, when NBC recorded the highest number of viewers with 12.1 million.
