LOS ANGELES — The FOX network announced Tuesday that it has renewed the crime drama “Bones” for a seventh season.
Kevin Reilly, President of Entertainment for the FOX Broadcasting Company said in a statement that the series is “a rock-solid player every time it airs and this season it has helped us win on Thursday nights for the first time in our history.”
“Bones” star David Boreanaz tipped the news before FOX’s official announcement, writing Monday night on his Twitter account, “Season 7 is GO for ‘Bones.'”
The show follows a forensic anthropologist, played by actress Emily Deschanel, who teams with Boreanaz’s FBI agent character to solve homicide cases.
The FOX Broadcasting Company and NewsCore are both owned by News Corporation.
