EVEN when “Battlestar Galactica” ends next year, it won’t be over.

The SCI FI Channel space epic, which has become one of the most beloved and politicized science fiction shows of all time, will follow the conclusion of the series with a two-hour TV movie directed by star Edward James Olmos.

The film will offer the machine’s side of the human vs. Cylon conflict that the show has chronicled. It unfolds before the events of the series take place.

“Galactica” follows the tale of a race of machines, Cylons, that attempt to obliterate the human race. In the new film, the Cylons realize that their grand scheme goes off track when people survive the attack.
