WHAT a concept – torture as a game show!

With images of Iraqi prisoner abuse still fresh in our minds, Comedy Central is trying out a game show called “Distraction” – in which players are given mild electric shocks or forced to wrestle naked while answering general knowkedge questions.

Correct answers bring big prize money.

The show is already a hit in Britain, where “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” began.

Comedy Central is bringing over the show’s British host, young comic Jimmy Carr, to quaterback the American version as well.
