George Lopez is entering late-night territory.
The former “George Lopez” star will host a nightly, hour-long 11 p.m. talk show for TBS beginning this November.
The as-yet-untitled show will originate from LA and will air Monday through Thursday. It will include “visits from celebrity guests, live music and comedy acts,” according to a TBS press release.
Its 11 p.m. time slot means Lopez’s show will compete in the talk-show arena against E!’s “Chelsea Lately,” Comedy Central’s “Daily Show” and “Colbert Report” and the first half-hours of “The Tonight Show” and “Late Show.”
Lopez’s ABC sitcom ran for six seasons and continues to perform well in syndication.
