GET THE MOTORS RUNNING
THERE’LL be hot cars, hot bands and food aplenty at the greaser lot below the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, this morning. The Rumblers NYC Ninth Annual Kustom Kills & Hot Rod Thrills show will feature more than 200 rides of pre-1964 vintage. Free to the public, the event will showcase a mix of clunkers, hot rods, chop-jobs and restorations.
In between car-gazing, you can wander the booths throughout the lot and channel your inner rebel with a 1950s-inspired haircut from 2 Kings Barber Shop for $13, get hard-core with Dirty Devil tanks and tees for under $22, and chow down on cheap barbecue. The light turns green at 10 a.m., and motors will rev through the afternoon. (For more information, visit therumblersnyc.com)
