GREAT ESTATE
The Bar Belles believe that drinking can be a semi-religious experience.
So we were tickled like Elmo to hear that after a major nine-month renovation, the stained glass in the old Limelight space has been re-illuminated.
Last week, the old Episcopal church that once housed dethroned club-king Peter Gatien’s famed night spot reopened as Estate.
In addition to a neon-lit ambiance and those freaky maze-like passageways (not to mention table service and a private entrance for VIPs), the club promises a wide menu of tasty tipples that’ll have you thanking the Lord the dude manning the velvet rope outside found it in his heart to allow you inside.
Among the best: the Silvery Moon, a mix of Belvedere vodka, Drambuie and soda. That’ll put you back a sinful $12.
Estate, 660 6th Avenue at 20th St.
