HBO has elected to make a movie about the 2000 presidential Florida voting mess.

The movie, “Recount,” will be directed by Oscar winner Sydney Pollack.

It’s targeted to air next spring, a few months before the presidential election, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“It doesn’t take sides,” said HBO Films president Colin Callender.
