* Thursday: Anarchic punks the Dead Kennedys are at Irving Plaza. Sounding like a Swedish Blondie, the Sounds play Hiro Ballroom.

* Friday: All pop-rockers Nightmare of You want is for the “scene” to die. Catch them at Maxwell’s. Is it ironic that Alanis Morissette is playing Roseland? We can’t tell.

* The Monkee’s Davy Jones appeals to the daydream believer or homecoming queen in us all, Saturday at BB King’s.
