TURNS out George Strait is actually king of the hill this week.

Nielsen SoundScan, which tracks album sales, incorrectly reported that Usher‘s “Confessions” was No. 1 and Strait No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Album charts.

But Strait’s “50 Number Ones” in fact sold 343,000 copies to put him ahead of the R&B pop star.

The album also landed atop Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, for his 18th No. 1 there. He’s held that record since 2001, when “The Road Less Traveled” took the country crown.
