‘HOOKING UP’ TRIPS
ABC’s heavily hyped “Hooking Up” failed to attract many viewers Thursday night.
The five-part ABC News series, which tracks 11 New York City women pursuing romance via online dating, averaged only 5.1 million viewers from 9 to 10 p.m.
By comparison, a repeat of “CSI” on CBS snared 12.3 million viewers in head-to-head competition – more-than-doubling the “Hooking Up” audience.
Even WWE Wrestling on UPN snared more viewers than “Hooking Up,” a cinema verite series from the same people who produced “Hopkins 24/7” and “Boston 24/7.”
