1 Underwear (please!)
Perhaps embarrassed by her grody “Firecrotch” nickname, Lindsay Lohan’s gone bald eagle. How do we know? Intrepid photographers caught her sans-knickers twice in two weeks – attempts to Photoshop underwear on her notwithstanding.
2 Rock stars
Most actors who think they’re good enough to play in a band actually stink. But Jason Lee and Giovanni Ribisi should give it a shot – their cover of “99 Red Balloons,” for the “My Name Is Earl” soundtrack, shreds.
3 The greatest love of all
Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown are getting divorced – we guess she’s tired of him telling the world about her “doodie bubbles.” It’s called “marital privilege,” Bobby.
4 Vicarious thrills
The crazy “Jackass” lads are back! Get a pair of Johnny Knoxville’s Converse Chucks – with skull and crutches logo – to celebrate.
5 Saying goodbye
The WB signs off tonight with the first-ever episodes of “Dawson’s Creek,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” and “Angel.”
6 Luscious lips
Since 1994, MAC’s Viva Glam lipsticks and “lipglasses” have raised $70 million (at $14 a tube, that’s 5 million people with perfect pouts) for the MAC AIDS Fund. This fall, Viva Glam VI arrives in a “warm terracotta-plum with pearl finish.”
7 Music to go
Didja see the spoof iPod Flea commercial, hyping a Tic Tac-sized MP3 gizmo that plays just one song? Apple comes close with the new, totally covetable, matchbook-sized iPod Shuffle, but it play 250 tunes.
8 Short stories
We can’t get enough of Barneys’ biannual catalog featuring the continuing Saga of Sylvia. In this edition, fashion-forward Sylvia gets released from jail, scores a hubby and becomes a star.
9 Making a scene
Say what you will about their clothes, but Heatherette’s Tuesday fashion show was out of this world. Amanda Lepore, Kelis, Mya and Mena Suvari hit the runway, as did Paris Hilton, who lip-synched to her hit, “Stars are Blind.”
10 Selling out
Despite signing with The Man, the kid behind the viral video interpretations of Fall Out Boy songs hasn’t lost his sense of humor. Watch his take on Green Day’s “St. Jimmy” on mtv.com’s new Stew Channel.
