Wonder Woman, meet your British sex- bomb nemesis: Elizabeth Hurley.

“Thrilled to be doing the NBC pilot Wonder Woman,” Hurley Tweeted Thursday. “I’ll be playing the evil villain. Can’t wait.”

Hurley, best known for her role in the Austin Powers movie franchise, will likely play villain Veronica Cale, the beautiful and powerful head of a pharmaceutical company who was depicted in the Wonder Woman comics as a female Lex Luthor.

The re-boot, written by David E. Kelley (“Ally McBeal,” “Harry’s Law“), stars Adrianne Palicki (“Friday Night Lights“) in a reinvention of the classic ’70s series.

Instead of being a shy, reclusive heroine as in the original comic book, the new Wonder Woman is a successful corporate executive — who fights crime in LA while trying to keep her extraordinary life in balance.
