‘Idol’ goin’ Gaga
Lady Gaga is going to show “American Idol” how being a pop idol is really done.
Ryan Seacrest revealed on Twitter that the superstar singer is set to mentor the remaining Top 4 finalists on Wednesday’s episode of “Idol.”
The announcement comes on the heels of contestant Haley Reinhart’s performance of Gaga’s track, “You and I,” earlier this week.
Grammy-winner Gaga will give tips on what the “Idols” should do to make themselves standouts while performing songs written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller — the masterminds of Elvis Presley hits like “Hound Dog” and “Jailhouse Rock” and the Coasters’ “Yakety Yak”, and co-author of Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me.”
It was also announced that “Idol” Season 11 auditions will begin June 28 in St. Louis.
