SUICIDE WATCH: Experimental synth-pop duo Suicide has come back to life. Formed in 1971 in New York, the group’s musicians – singer Alan Vega and keyboardist Martin Rev – were among the first to inject synth keyboards into punk rock. The sound soon became a new wave staple, as com mon as “Tainted Love” was in dance clubs. Vega and Rev, still entertaining in a manic Mad Max way, will perform to night at Rothko with other artists who consider Suicide an in fluence, including Free Blood (a !!! side project), Dead Combo, Japanather and Ova Looven. The first band hits at 9 p.m., and the party continues until 4 a.m. Tickets are $25. Rothko, 16 Suffolk St., between Rivington and Delancey streets; no phone.
