Is it best set ever?
THE ultimate TV set — so far — was unveiled over the weekend.
It is a 100-inch, 3-D HDTV that is so technically advanced the inventors can’t even say how much it will cost.
The prototype for the set, developed by a California start-up firm called HDI, reportedly left audiences giggling at the realistic picture it produced at a demonstration.
The set still requires viewers to wear 3-D glasses to get the full effect.
No word on when the set will be available or its expected sale price.
The set is laser based — not LCD or plasma — which experts say creates a better 3-D effect. The first 3-D sets are expected on the market here early next year.
