IT’S A FAMILY AFFAIR
This summer there’s a little something for everyone – well, maybe a little more than something if you’re keen on special effects, car chases and gross-out comedies.
A look at what lies ahead reveals that there’s a movie to tempt every member of the family, including the dog.
Thank God for multiplexes – and “The Matrix Reloaded,” which appeals to just about everyone (down, Fido, down!).
Here’s what else to watch for:
MOM: “Love the Hard Way” (Adrien Brody as a con man with a crush on an innocent); “The Heart of Me” (love, deception, seduction); “Le Divorce” (American sisters in Paris); “Alex & Emma” (Dostoyevsky with laughs, thanks to Rob Reiner)
BIG SISTER: “Freaky Friday” (trading places with mom); “American Wedding” (more gross fun in the “American Pie” style); “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle” (great hair! great clothes!); “Camp” (teens with Broadway dreams)
THE LITTLE ONES: “Rugrats Go Wild” (they meet the Thornberrys); “Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over” (more action – and in 3-D!); “Whale Rider” (a young girl shall lead them); “Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas” (splash!)
BIG BROTHER: “S.W.A.T.” (above); “Hollywood Homicide”; “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines”; “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle”; “The Hulk”
