MTV yesterday refused to rule out re-airing a controversial cartoon in which women are treated like dogs.

The ‘toon, part of a series called “Where My Dogs At,” airs on MTV’s lesser-known sister channel, MTV2. In one episode that aired last weekend in the early afternoon, a cartoon version of rapper Snoop Dog was accompanied by two women in collars on chains down on their knees.

It was a send-up of an actual MTV appearance by the hip-hop star on the same show, which is an animated parody of celebrities and pop culture seen through the eyes of two stray dogs in Hollywood.

“We certainly do not condone Snoop’s actions and the goal was to take aim at that incident for its insensitivity and outrageousness,” an MTV spokesman said. “Even one of the dogs, a main character on the show, states, ‘I find that degrading and I am a dog.’ ”

As the show recently wrapped up its first season, officials at the network have not decided if the episode will air again in repeats, the spokesman said.

Some viewers have complained about the episode.
