At tonight’s American Music Awards, Lenny Kravitz faces off against Shaggy and R. Kelly for favorite male artist, while veteran pop star Janet Jackson goes up against Jennifer “J.Lo” Lopez and newcomer Alicia Keys for the crown of favorite female.

Michael Jackson, is slated to appear on the awards show to accept his Artist of the Century award, but not perform. The AMAs will be broadcast live from Los Angeles. Performers include Britney Spears, Usher, Shaggy, Kid Rock and Cher.

Tune in at 8 p.m. to ABC/Ch. 7.
