IS thirteen an unlucky number? Not if you’re “Jeopardy!” champ Ken Jennings!

Jennings won for the 13th consecutive time on “Jeopardy!” last night, extending his record and adding another $30,000 to his total winnings – which now stand at over $440,000.

Jennings has averaged $34,000 in each of his 13 wins as he closes in on $500,000 and “Jeopardy!” immortality.

He correctly answered last night’s Final Jeopardy question: “In 1582, the man born Ugo Buoncompagni proclaimed this solar dating system still used today” (“What is the Gregorian calendar?”). Jennings steamrolled over Ellen Cooke, a freelance writer, and Bret Bradigan, a newspaper publisher.
