JESSICA Simpson is returning to the medium that made her a star: Reality TV.

As host of the new VH1 series, “The Price of Beauty,” which will air in 2010, Simpson will travel around the world meeting regular women and pop culture icons, while boning up on their local fashions, fad diets and beauty regimes. In some cases, she’ll even test out the things she’s learning.

The former star of MTV’s “The Newlyweds” — no stranger to being criticized for the way she looks — hopes to showcase how beauty is perceived in different cultures.
