FORMER NBC anchor Jodi Applegate is joining “Good Day New York” after a stint in Boston.

Applegate began on MSNBC before moving over to NBC to co-anchor “Later Today.” She was an anchor at Boston’s WFXT from 2000-2004.

It’s expected that “GDNY” anchor Lyn Brown will move to one of Ch. 5’s afternoon newscasts, probably the 5 p.m. slot.

Applegate will join Jim Ryan, Chris Gailus and Lucy Noland on “GDNY” (7-9 a.m./Ch. 5).
