Comedy Central hosts Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert renewed their contracts with the cable network through the 2012 U.S. presidential election, the network announced Tuesday.

Stewart, the host of “The Daily Show,” a half-hour late night parody show on weeknights about politics and the news media that cover it, will now be at the network through June 2013.

Colbert, host of “The Colbert Report,” a half-hour political satire that follows Stewart in late night, is under contract through the end of 2012.

Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
