A Los Angeles judge yesterday sacked a request by former grid great O.J. Simpson to block an upcoming CBS miniseries about his murder trial.

Simpson claimed the series would bare confidential information – but Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Yaffe said O.J. failed to prove the show would do him harm.

The judge pointed out that O.J. made no effort to stop the 1996 publication of the book “American Tragedy,” on which the miniseries is based. O.J.’s lawyers argued he did nothing to stop the book because he was too busy defending himself in his civil trial.

The best-selling book was written by Lawrence Schiller and based in part on interviews with O.J.’s former friend Robert Kardashian. It tells the story of his sensational trial for the 1994 murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman and gives a detailed, behind-the-scenes look at O.J.’s legal “Dream Team.”
