BIG-screen classic “Heathers” is on track to become a TV series.

The 1989 movie, starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater as murderous high school pals, is being developed for Fox, perhaps as soon as next year, according to reports.

The series would be a “contemporary” take on the movie but would feature all the original main characters, according to trade reports.

In the movie, Ryder played Veronica Sawyer who, along with new pal J.D. (Slater), starts killing a bunch of mean-spirited girls all named Heather — making the deaths look like suicides.

There’s no word on who will play the Ryder and Slater roles.
