SO there!

Stung by criticism from fans who complained of too many gaps between original episodes, ABC yesterday swore it won’t air any reruns of “Lost” next season.

“Lost” will kick off its third season with seven new episodes in a row before going on hiatus to give a new drama, “Day Break,” the chance to begin.

“Lost” will then return, either in late January or early February – and will air continuous new episodes through the end of the season, ABC announced yesterday.

While still one of TV’s highest-rated dramas, “Lost,” saw its numbers dip this season when ABC aired a slew of repeats, infuriating fans, many of whom voiced their displeasure on the Internet.

Serial dramas like “Lost” and “24” have virtually no value in repeats to most fans, who rarely miss an episode.

Repeats just gave fans an excuse to drift away to other shows, and the ratings showed it.

ABC said it had to air the “Lost” repeats due to the length of the TV season – and not enough new “Lost” episodes to fill the airtime.

“Day Break,” which borrows its premise from the Bill Murray comedy “Groundhog Day,” will center around a cop, played by Taye Diggs, who’s wrongly accused of murdering the assistant DA – then relives the day over and over again while he’s on the run.

In other big ABC news, the network announced it’s moving powerhouse “Grey’s Anatomy” to Thursdays, where it will compete at 9 p.m. against “CSI” on CBS and the new Aaron Sorkin drama, “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip,” on NBC.
