MOVE over John McCain and David Letterman – it looks like Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman are going to reconcile this week.

On Kimmel’s show.

Silverman, the stand-up comic who stars in her own Comedy Central series, and Kimmel broke up last July after five years together.

Now comes word – buried in a network press release – that Silverman is set to be a guest on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Thursday night.

The booking was announced after the two were spotted together in New York at Howard Stern’s wedding two weeks ago.

People magazine reported the kiss-and-make-up is real, but neither star would confirm it.

Silverman made headlines earlier this month with an Web-video phenomenon called “The Great Schlep,” encouraging young people to get their grandparents in Florida to vote for Barack Obama.

But she also just got back from a disastrous trip to Britain, where her show is just getting started on London TV.

Her stand-up act there – a sold out show where fans paid more than $150 a ticket – was roundly booed by the British press for being full of old material and for being too brief.

Kimmel has his own troubles, too.

ABC is reportedly eager to sign Jay Leno when his “Tonight” show deal with NBC expires next year.

Leno jumping to ABC would prevent Kimmel – whose show airs after “Nightline” – from moving to the 11:30 p.m. spot for the foreseeable future.

During an appearance on “Tonight,” Kimmel poked fun at Leno, warning him that ABC was “a hellhole” and to stay away.
