MALCOLM won’t be in the middle anymore – if Fox follows through on plans to work “Malcolm in the Middle” mom Jane Kaczmarek’s pregnancy into the sitcom’s storyline.

“I’ve been told they’re going to work the pregnancy into the show,” Kaczmarek told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

“The plan is to do some episodes [with Lois] not pregnant, and then some [with her] pregnant.”

Kaczmarek is married to “West Wing” star Bradley Whitford. The couple is expecting their third child in November.

“I cannot confirm or deny what is happening in the [upcoming] scripts,” said a Fox spokeswoman.

Kaczmarek was pregnant during the show’s first season, but producers hid her belly behind large objects.

In the show, now entering its fourth season, Kazcmarek plays Lois, the harried mother of four rambunctious kids – Francis, Reese, Malcolm and Dewey. Bryan Cranston plays their put-upon dad, Hal.
