IT’S going to be a little hunkier on “Ugly Betty” this fall when Kelly Ripa’s husband, Mark Consuelos, turns up on the show as a guest star.

ABC officials declined yesterday to provide details of Consuelos’ role, but it is understood that his character’s arrival will be part of a much larger, ongoing story arc, according to E!

For the moment, Consuelos is scheduled to appear in only one episode, although he may turn up in later episodes.

Meanwhile, Billy Dee Williams has signed on to appear on “Private Practice” – also as a guest star, according to a TV Guide report.

He’s set to play a patient of Taye Diggs’ Dr. Sam Bennett who has been dutifully caring for his wife as she suffers from dementia-type symptoms – while disregarding his own declining health.

Despite bland ratings, the “Grey’s Anatomy” spinoff returns to ABC this fall.
