THE JVC Jazz Festival (festivalproductions.net) closes tonight with several shows slotted around town. But for a free night of music, head to Brooklyn’s Park Slope for tap-dance phenom Savion Glover (pictured) and friends – including his jazz band, the Otherz. In past performances, Glover has tapped his own way through John Coltrane’s “My Favorite Things.” Pianist Robert Glasper’s trio, which slides a little hip-hop into the mix, also appears. The show, which begins at 7:30, lights up the Prospect Park Bandshell at Ninth Street and Prospect Park West. Visit celebratebrooklyn.org for more info.
