THE jazz world’s outstanding female vocalists and instrumentalists will bring their artistry to New York for the monthlong second annual Women in Jazz Festival at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola ($30; Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall; Broadway at 60th Street; [212] 258-9595; jalc.org). The festival swings into action on Monday and runs through Oct. 1.

Vocalist René Marie, whose jazz sound reflects the Virginia resident’s blues and soul influences, kicks it off on Labor Day and Tuesday.

Pop/jazz vocalist Ann Hampton Callaway (left), who wrote “The Nanny” theme song, brings her cabaret style and her quartet to Dizzy’s Wednesday through Sept. 10. Shows are nightly at 7:30 and 9:30 with an additional 11:30 p.m. set on Fridays and Saturdays.
