THE jazz world’s outstanding female vocalists and instrumentalists will bring their artistry to New York for the monthlong second annual Women in Jazz Festival at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola ($30; Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Vocalist René Marie, whose jazz sound reflects the Virginia resident’s blues and soul influences, kicks it off on Labor Day and Tuesday.

Pop/jazz vocalist Ann Hampton Callaway (left), who wrote “The Nanny” theme song, brings her cabaret style and her quartet to Dizzy’s Wednesday through Sept. 10. Shows are nightly at 7:30 and 9:30 with an additional 11:30 p.m. set on Fridays and Saturdays.
