Robert Moog, who built theremins as a teenager, founded the R.A. Moog Company in 1954. Ten years later, he invented the first electronic synthesizers. Artists as diverse as Stevie Wonder, Parliament Funkadelic and Kraftwerk have incorporated sounds from Moog’s namesake analog synthesizers into their own pioneering music. On Tuesday night at 7:30, Moogminded artists – including Edgar Winter, Living Colour, Particle’s Steve Molitz (right), Money Mark and the Brazilian Girls – will celebrate the instrument at the Moogfest gala at B.B. King Blues Club (237 W. 42nd St.; [212] 997-4144; moogfest.net). Tickets are $35. “Moog,” a documentary about Moog and the Moog will be released Tuesday on DVD. “The Moog changed the face of music,” says Charles Carlini, the show’s producer. “It’s so omnipresent, we hear it all the time.”
