Michael J. Fox is back in the acting game.

The 64-year-old “Spin City” star, who is battling Parkinson’s disease, appears in the new trailer for Season 3 of Apple TV’s hit comedy “Shrinking,” which marks his first acting project in five years.

During the trailer, Fox’s character is in the waiting room of a doctor’s office and chats with Harrison Ford’s character, Dr. Paul Rhoades, who has Parkinson’s.

“What are you in for?” Fox’s character asks Paul.

“Parkinson’s,” Paul responds, as his hand shakes.

“Just a haircut,” Fox’s character quips.

The trailer also features returning main stars Jason Segel (Jimmy), Jessica Williams (Gaby), Luke Tennie (Sean), Michael Urie (Brian), Lukita Maxwell (Alice), Christa Miller (Liz) and Ted McGinley (Derek), plus returning guest stars Damon Wayans Jr. (Derrick), Brett Goldstein (Louis), and Cobie Smulders (Sofi).

“Shrinking” is about a therapist (Segel) grieving his wife’s death. Segel, Goldstein and Bill Lawrence created the series.

Fox will make a guest appearance in the upcoming season of the show as a patient with Parkinson’s. The role reunites reunites him with “Spin City” creator Lawrence, 57.

“It’s not a simple, preachy role. He’s a wise-ass and as acerbic as he’s always been, and he’s kind of a really key part of the first episode, and he had so much fun and we had so much — he made the mistake,” Lawrence told People in November about Fox joining the show.

“He did the first [episode] of the year that’s on in January, and he said, ‘That was so much fun. I’d do it again,'” Lawrence added. “And around me, if he ever says anything like that out loud, I’m like, ‘Oh then come back in two weeks.’ So he had to come back again.”

Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 1991 at the age of 29. Before “Shrinking,” he last acted on an episode of the CBS drama “The Good Fight” in 2020.

In October, Fox revealed that he reached out to Lawrence to get cast in “Shrinking.”

“I said, ‘You did a show about Parkinson’s, and you didn’t call me?’ And he said, ‘Oh, you want to do it?’ And I said, ‘I’d love to do it,’” the “Family Ties” star recalled to People. “So he said, ‘Let me think about it, see what I can do.’ So he went to work on it and came up with this concept, it’s really good.”

Fox continued, “It was the first time ever I get to show up on-set, and I didn’t have to worry about am I too tired or coughing or anything. I just do it. It was really good, because for the moments when I say, ‘I’m not going to be able to do this,’ then I say, ‘Well, I’ll just deal with how I can’t do it in the scene.’ And you get through it.”

Ford, for his part, previously said that having Fox join the cast was “a great source of inspiration and gives us a real purpose.”

“It’s not just us coming together, two actors,” the “Star Wars” icon added. “There’s a story to tell, and our commitment to the story is what joins us together. I appreciate his willingness to be a part of the show.”

“Shrinking” Season 3 premieres Jan. 28 on Apple TV.
