WATCH out for those Nyet stockings – “America’s Next Top Model” is taking Russia by storm.

The UPN reality show, hosted here by Tyra Banks, has begun airing on Russian broadcaster CTC Network – and is already scoring big ratings as top Russian model wannabes compete for the chance to win a modeling contract of their careers.

The show, a ratings success for UPN, has been sold by CBS Broadcast International to over 40 territories worldwide – and is expected to begin airing next on Australia’s Foxtel.

Some of the shows are direct copies of the UPN version, while other versions are localized and a little bit different.

Russia’s version is the first to hit the airwaves.

“This is about managing a franchise,” CBS Broadcast International exec Armando Nunez Jr. told The Hollywood Reporter.

Territories airing the U.S. version include the U.K., Belgium, France, Scandinavia, Poland, Brazil, Mexico, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Thailand.
