PETA is planning a protest today at noon in front of 30 Rock to bash NBC’s new sitcom, “Animal Practice” — which co-stars a Capuchin monkey named Crystal.

“The cheap laughs that ‘Animal Practice’ gets from putting a monkey in a lab coat come at a heavy cost for animals who spend their lives deprived of everything that is natural and important to them,” PETA senior VP Lisa Lange said in a statement.

“ ‘Animal Practice’s brand of ‘comedy’ is as cruel as it is creatively bankrupt.”
