DETROIT Mayor Dave Bing has banned reality TV crews from tagging along with police after cameras accompanied officers on a raid in which a 7-year-old girl was killed.

According to The Detroit News, Bing also chided Police Chief Warren Evans for not telling him that he was permitting TV cameras on raids.

Cameras from the reality crime show “The First 48” were present during the May 16 raid in which a police bullet killed Aiyana Stanley-Jones.
