THE Yankees channel – YES Network – is moving up the dial on Time Warner Cable.

The network, which also airs the New Jersey Nets, will move from Ch. 80 to Ch. 30 on Time Warner Cable systems in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and Bergen County, N.J., beginning next Wednesday, June 1.

It will move from Ch. 80 to Ch. 57 on Time Warner Cable in Mt. Vernon.

YES replaces Shop NBC, which will move to Ch. 32 to be near QVC, another home-shopping channel.

HBO, which currently airs on Ch. 32, will move to Ch. 80 in the same neighborhood as Independent Film Channel and Turner Classic Movies.

A spokesman for YES said the network will notify its viewers on the air and online via the network’s Web site, yesnetwork.com.

“We’re pulling out all the stops to let our viewers know about the changes,” he said.

Time Warner Cable will alert subscribers to the changes via current billing statements.

It will also run crawls on The Weather Channel and the TV Guide Channel through June 1.

The YES Network launched in March 2002.
