N.Y.C.’S VIRTUAL REALITY
WELCOME to New York – at least the virtual version.
Here’s a more detailed look at Grand Theft Auto: IV, out Oct. 16, the latest in the controversial Rockstar Games franchise. The open-ended crime thriller is set in “Liberty City,” a rather obvious stand-in for Gotham.
While you’re roaming the city and taking care of business as Eastern European mobster Niko Bellic, you’ll recognize plenty of locations from the game as being ripped straight out of your daily commute, considering all the action goes down in places like Manhattan (renamed Algonquin), Brooklyn (Broker), Queens (Dukes), The Bronx (Bohan) and New Jersey (Alderney).
