National Geographic Channel will have to wait a bit longer for its first scripted series.

On Monday the network said it would not develop a series based on the 2012 film “Act of Valor.”

“NGC is unfortunately not moving forward with ‘Act Of Valor’ in favor of other scripted projects we have under consideration that will be announced soon,” a network spokesman said in a statement.

Nat Geo first announced the project last October. The series was to be produced by Relativity Television (whose film unit produced the original movie) and Tandem Communications.

According to deadline.com, Nat Geo, Relativity and the creative team behind the project had different visions for the series, causing the plans to be scrapped.
