The brand that brought us such ground-breaking original series such as “House of Cards” and “Orange is the New Black” surprised viewers with a brand-new original production Tuesday morning.

As what can only be assumed to be an April Fools’ joke, Netflix debuted “Rotisserie Chicken.”

The 73-minute “documentary” takes users deep inside the oven to watch a chicken cook.

Netflix hails the film as being “in the tradition of ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,’” in which audiences can “witness a searing, chronology-defying return to one’s origins that stokes the imagination.”

Guess this makes those Christmas fireplace videos officially passé.
